​I initiated graduation in medicine in 2011 at the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). Then, in 2012, due to my involvement at the Student Academic Centre I was selected to an International Medical Exchange provided by the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) at The Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Tel Aviv, Israel. In 2013, I received a scholarship provided by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) to study at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia for 18 months (Science Without Borders program).​
