A new Secondment Program partner for 2019

White Ribbon Alliance (WRA) is an international NGO, with a mission to activate a people-led movement which accelerates progress for reproductive, maternal and newborn health and rights through putting people at the center of global, national and local efforts. WRA’s vision is a world where all women and girls realize their right to quality health care and well-being. WRA has 14 National Alliance affiliates across Africa, Asia and Europe, united by the shared mission, vision and strategic framework. Each National Alliance (NA) has its own governance structure and National Secretariat team who work with other national, regional and local members and organizations to agree the NA’s focus areas and priorities. WRA’s advocacy, accountability and community engagement strategies have successfully resulted in increased availability and utilization of health services, improved quality of services, and increased financial, human and materials resources for reproductive, maternal and newborn health.

White Ribbon Alliance has been a partner of the Secondment Program since 2019. Last year, two J&J employees shared their skills and experiences with the NGO in long-term (4-6 months) and/or short-term/virtual strategic advisory roles (20%, 4-6 months). This year, two traditional secondees and one lion secondee will use their talent for good to support the White Ribbon Alliance organization in the field of Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Health. Our two traditional secondees will support in strengthening operations (financial, administrative, management) for effective delivery of projects and strategies. Our lion secondee will help WRA to position the organization with leading media outlets and/or high net worth individuals.
